MJ was raised in the South, surrounded by a big-hearted, sometimes chaotic village of family and friends. As an only child, she quickly learned how to observe people, listen closely, and find humor even in the most unpredictable situations. That sharp eye—and big heart—sparked her gift for storytelling early on.
Writing became MJ’s way to process the world, connect with others, and turn life’s highs and lows into something meaningful.
